Historical Significance

The 1904-O Morgan Silver Dollar holds a unique place in American numismatics. As one of the last Morgan Dollars struck before production ceased for nearly two decades, it represents the end of an era in U.S. coinage. Millions of 1904-O Morgans were stored in Treasury vaults and later released beginning in the 1960s, allowing collectors to acquire high-quality Brilliant Uncirculated examples that had been preserved for decades.

The New Orleans Mint—known for its storied history and distinct mintmark—closed its coinage operations after 1909, making its final Morgan Dollars even more historically meaningful.

Presentation

Each 1904-O Morgan Dollar is certified and securely encapsulated by NGC, ensuring long-term preservation, authenticity, and an elegant display presentation. The Brilliant Uncirculated designation highlights the coin’s superior luster and original surfaces.
