Certified PCGS MS70 - First Day of Issue - PCGS Struck at West Point Blue Bar Label
2021 marks the 35th Anniversary of the American Eagle Coin Program. The United States Mint will unveil new reverse (tails) designs for bullion and collectible versions of American Eagle Gold and Silver Coins. The new designs (Type 2) will begin appearing on these coins in midyear 2021 and include an anti-counterfeit reeded edge variation.

American Eagle Silver Bullion Coins
are affordable investments, beautiful collectibles, thoughtful gifts and memorable incentives or rewards.

Coin Highlights:

Obverse: Features a refreshed depiction of Adolph A. Weinman's full-length figure of Liberty in stride, enveloped in folds of the flag, with her right hand extended and branches of laurel and oak in her left. For the 2021 coin, the United States Mint returned to its original historical assets to render a closer reflection of Weinman's original vision that includes the addition of his traditional artist mark.

Reverse: The new reverse (tails) design features an eagle as it approaches a landing, carrying an oak branch, as if to add it to a nest. Inscriptions are UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, 1 OZ. FINE SILVER and ONE DOLLAR. Also included are the designer initials "ESD" for Emily S. Damstra and sculptor initials "MG" for Michael Gaudioso.
