The 1 Utah Goldback design features Prudence, the classical symbol of wisdom and foresight, shown in traditional regional attire seated beneath a tree with a watchful companion nearby. The Latin inscription Prudentia reinforces the theme of careful stewardship and long-term thinking. Due to the note’s ultra-thin construction, the reverse displays a mirrored image of the obverse.
